The year in review…

Favorite moments from the 2021-2022 school year

What a wonderful school year it has been! The year began with a certain degree of uncertainty due to a rise in Covid cases, but we persevered through the challenges, and eventually saw a return to “normalcy.” It brings great joy to the students, faculty, and staff to see parents and grandparents back on campus for chapel, lunch, ball games, field trips, and birthday parties! We are thankful for everyone’s patience as we navigated through the unknown murky waters of a pandemic. Many lessons were learned throughout this experience, and we’ve embraced some new practices that should benefit us all in the future.

The school year brought new memories and the return of many beloved CRA traditions. Each day held new adventures – science experiments, chapel speakers, field trips, sporting events, and many other opportunities to grow and learn. Every child and adult who spends their days at CRA is blessed beyond measure.

We covet your prayers as we embark on yet another school year. Please pray that our students grow in wisdom and in stature. Pray that our faculty and staff continue to show students the love of Christ each and every day. We know that “the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much,” and that through the power of prayer, CRA will continue to thrive. (James 5:16)

Crowley's Ridge Academy was voted BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL in Northeast Arkansas, and our PALS Preschool was voted BEST PRESCHOOL in Northeast Arkansas!

2021 Employee of the Year: Mrs. Suzette Killough

Mr. Ramsey presented the award for Employee of the Year to our beloved Mrs. Suzette Killough.

Mr. Ramsey said it best: "What an honor it is to be a teacher, to be an employee, at Crowley’s Ridge Academy. I remember when I first came 21 years ago, Mrs. Mary Jane Fagala called it “a mission, a calling to be at CRA.” She said, “this is a great work we are engaged in.”

Yes, this is a mission field, in which we get to teach the Bible every single day. And the Bible is taught not just in the Bible classroom. It is taught by the bus drivers, the lunch ladies, the nurse, the maintenance man, and every teacher, every coach.

We all teach the Bible by the way we live and talk and care for each other.

This year, our Employee of the Year is a teacher. Here are some things that have been said about her:

She has been described by alumni as having helped them be prepared for college and helped them in college.

She does a phenomenal job. She is a loyal teacher, loyal to her students, loyal to our school and loyal to the Lord. She knows her subject, she loves her field, and is passionate about teaching. Plus she loves her students!

She is always positive, upbeat and kind. Her students love her. In fact, during the Senior Address given at the end of the school year, our seniors consistently praise her for her kindness, her sweetness, and for being a great teacher. And I can confirm all of this, having been in her room hundreds of times over the past 20 years. I learned something every single time I came in.

This teacher has been at CRA for 25 years and has been an educator for 34 years total. She is a very special teacher. A very special person.

It is an honor for me to present the Employee of the Year Award this year to Mrs. Suzette Killough!"

Congratulations, Mrs. Killough! This is well-deserved! WE LOVE YOU!

The Class of 2022 leaves their mark

The senior class of 2022 enjoyed all of the traditional senior moments — 7th grade Bible presentations, senior addresses, senior-faculty basketball game, senior trip, senior walk, baccalaureate, senior breakfast, and, of course, graduation. Many special memories were made to wrap up thier journey together as a class at CRA.

Over a million dollars were awarded in scholarships to this class! We are thankful for their leadership and for thier dedication to excellence. We look forward to seeing all the good these former Falcons will accomplish for the cause of Christ!

CRA supporters continue to ensure the Academy’s success

The Spring Auction returned this year, and was once again a beautiful and heartwarming demonstration of generosity and love. We were blown away by the night's record-breaking grand total of $225,520.08! Also, the annual jogathon fundraiser brought in an additional $68,660.53!

Every dollar benefits our students and helps to secure the future of our school. So many good families believe in the deeply important mission of CRA and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure the Academy's success.

We are thankful for you!

Looking ahead…
